Construction Superintendent

My client, one of the most respected General Contractors in the Chicagoland areas, is looking to add a Superintendent to their Healthcare division. They have an excellent reputation owing to their commitment to the quality of their work and the way they treat their employees. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in a Superintendent role with a background running healthcare work.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and according to the OSHA standards
• Maintain strict adherence to healthcare-specific regulations, including infection control, life safety, and patient privacy, ensuring that construction activities do not disrupt ongoing medical services.
• Communicate regularly with the Project Manager, Owner, and subcontractors
• Monitor quality control procedures to ensure that all work meets or exceeds project specifications
• Develop, maintain, and adjust the project schedule, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers
• Quickly identify, assess, and resolve issues that arise on-site, making real-time decisions to keep the project on track without compromising safety, quality, or compliance.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years in a Superintendent role at a Commercial General Contractor
• Successful track record running Healthcare projects valued at $2-$10M
• Proficiency in Procore or other construction software
• BS in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent preferred
• OSHA Certified
