Senior Project Manager

Client Overview:

With close to 50 years’ operating in the Midwest Heavy Civil Construction space, our client is gearing up for their another stellar year in 2025 (both revenue & project starts) as they coming off a great stretch in the Detroit civil market. This growth means they are looking to add a Senior Project Manager to their team to lead projects from day one.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field/equivalent experience
• Heavy Civil background with minimum of 8-15 years managing construction projects
• Bridge, pavement, asphalt experience preferred
• Ability to manage multiple projects and personnel simultaneously
• Knowledge of construction, design, cost reporting and cash flow management
• Proficiency in Project Management and Scheduling Software
• OSHA 10, OSHA 30 certification
• Ability to run multiple projects at a time ranging from $2M-$40M
• DOT experience preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing and directing the project team by providing the communication, coordination and follow-up necessary to meet project goals and objectives.
• Maintains ongoing training and mentoring of project team.
• Directly reports to Area Manager and Executive team.
• Provides ongoing project information and project reviews as required by management.
• Coordinates training and compliance measures to ensure project procedures are followed.
• Ensures scope of work, schedule and budget are clearly defined and understood by senior management and all project participants, including the client.
• Determines controls and maintains overall project and discipline schedules and budgets.
